Art has always been a big part of my life. I spent most of my youth painting and drawing, while a majority of my adult life has been spent in the commercial design world. I worked in the visual department of the Air Force for 8 years, which afforded me access to unlimited art supplies and a venue to share my illustrations with a large audience.
After my stay in the military, I worked for a commercial decor company as an illustrator and designer, and eventually went on to start a web development company with my husband in Denver, Colorado. It’s been since we settled in Oklahoma that I’ve revisited my interest in painting. I find it to be the singularly most calming activity in my life and I look forward to my evenings, when settle into my studio to listen to music and mix colors.
I feel really lucky to have the support of my friends here in Oklahoma who like my work and have given me the chance to display my art in cool places like Green Bambino and Deep Fork Grill. I plan to have a display of artwork for sale at the local handmade show, Deluxe Indie Craft Bazaar next December.
