As I’m not a regular poster of outfits, you’ll probably think I’ve taken this blog off the rails because I’m about to do a whole post about a single dress. That’s right. THE GREEN DRESS.
The vintage green dress that I almost didn’t buy. The dress that I almost talked myself out of wearing to the design blogger conference, Alt Summit. The dress that ultimately made me realize that I shouldn’t be afraid of being considered a little kooky for wearing something I really like. It does seem a little late in life for me to be realizing this. I’m a fashion enthusiast, and I love being dressed up. I just was worried that people would think my campy gown was too silly or outlandish.
Well, it wasn’t at all the most outlandish outfit at the Alt Summit Clue Party. After all, Gabrielle Blair wore TWO feather wreaths as a hat. If anything, the crazy dress was living out it’s destiny. For those who asked, the dress is Jack Bryan by DuPuis. The lettuce chiffon hem & mock neck feel very late ’60s to me, and I paired it with Stella & Dot drop earrings, and a gold & jade stacked cuff, and gold slingbacks by Nine West.
